Ok i've got to admit i was absolutely wetting myself about placements it was the one part of the course i was dreading as it goes outside my comfort zone. But i got into mind and sorted out my work experience a few weeks in advance as someone mentioned about Mojgan Bridal Couture and after today i really think i have chosen the right place=]
Eventhough it was my first day i wasn't short of things to do. First thing i did was steam a dress and then had to help with a dress (like grey-green one in picture) doing the gathers and adding crystals and pearls.
I really enjoyed my first day and Mojgan is really eager for me to learn as much as i can. She has even given me a project of making a skirt part for a dress when i can't find anything else to do which is really great as it means i won't be sat around bored and am contributing to making someone really happy on their special day=] It was also really different from uni as the seam allowance we use is 1cm but here i had to use 1.5cm and for the CB 1 inch.I can see this is going to be a really worthwhile experience=]
