McQueen and I

This was surprising I found, I haven't really seen a lot of McQueen's catwalks or knew much about his like and this programme was a good insight. I found that his catwalks were amazing in a sick and twisted way but it worked! Plus this sick and twisted look is what got him noticed.
It also shows all the pressures of the fashion world and also how someone can change your perspective on fashion.

But it does show the dangers of becoming big in fashion and shows how Alexander McQueen changes with the added pressure, it also tells of how he loses his temper at a model, its a thought to think about. I wonder if this could happen to me if I become a well established fashion designer. Food for thought there.
It is definitely worth watching.

All go!

It seems life at uni is all go at the moment, have loads of deadlines looming and another review! I really do wonder how I get all the work done. Can be stressful but I guess you have to have fun at the same time!
Can't wait for the weekend for a sleep lol.

My little claim to fame

Well it's not really a claim to fame but at work i got the chance to do some work on a dress for Simon Cowell's exgirlfriend, Jackie St Clair. Its quite exciting to know that something you have worked on is going to be worn by a Celebrity!!

And the dress is absolutely beautiful it is on trend with the nude colour and gives the extra edge with lace over the top.

First Toile Review

I was relatively petrified of this review as its when they tell you that all your hard work is going in the right or wrong direction. Luckily they liked mine, I have to make a few changes. Plus I'm going to change one of my outfits completely as i feel it doesn't fit with the others.
However, good review. Just got to be ready for the next one. Pweh.

BIC Wedding Show

Another show, the biggest one yet. So plenty of appointments made, 13=]. I love the wedding shows as it is the perfect chance for me to understand the area I want to go in and see all aspects of a wedding plus I can network, as you can give leaflets to other exhibitors (such as hairdressers, bakers, venues) to place in their shops to gain customers from them. It also gives me the chance to see other bridal gowns so I can gain many ideas, and also start to build an idea up of what the industry is like.
I also learn how presentation is important to getting customers to come and look, so you have to stand out from the competitors.

The Future of Shopping

This is another video me and Sam foun while researching new media for fashion as a forum, its the future of changing rooms without the hassle of changing, instead you stand infront of a a screen like a mirror and you can interact with it and see which outfit looks best on you.
I found this amazing and with todays fast moving world people want to get in and out stores as quickly as poosible and this helps make it quicker and find what best suits you without looking round the whole store and going back and forth to the changing room.
